Description:
A few years before the turn of the century of 1900, there was an immense growth in the production and success of the company Johann Loetz Witwe. In the year 1897, Tiffanys Favrile-Glass exhibits his glass collection in Reichenberg and Vienna which will provide a great inspiration for Loetz’s future designs. For this reason, experiments and new techniques are being developed that lead to new Phänomen Genres and complex designs.

The version is one of the first Phänomen Genres that were developed and produced. Due to the success of the execution, this vase is also exhibited in the Summer Exhibition of the “Bayerischen Kunstgewerbevereins” in Munich in 1899 in preparation for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
