Description:
This very elegant small vase was made by Johann Loetz Witwe in the year 1900. The glass is blown in ground color green, which Loetz calls “Crete” and then executed in the “Papillon” decor.
The design for this miniature vase was made just after the designs for the world exhibition in Paris in the year 1900. A series of miniatures were designed in this period, which are included in the literature under Series II production numbers 482 through 498. This vase is mentioned in the literature as Series II production number 497.
