Upcoming event: September 25th to September 28th, 2025
From September 25th to 28th, I am delighted to once again take part in the autumn edition of the Art and Antiques Fair, held at the magnificent Buitenplaats Doornburgh in Maarssen on the river Vecht. The Priorij, designed by Dom Hans van der Laan and idyllically situated along the winding Vecht, opens its doors especially for this event. The complex is renowned for its serene setting amidst nature and historical architecture.
This Art and Antiques Fair, which also takes place annually at Slot Zeist, has become a well-established event in the Netherlands. It brings together collectors and enthusiasts of modern art, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, jewellery, and antiques, offering a unique opportunity to discover rare and high-quality objects. In this inspiring setting, I will present my specialist Art Nouveau and Art Deco collection. At the heart of the presentation is the iridescent glasswork by Johann Loetz Witwe—one of the most celebrated names in Jugendstil—complemented by remarkable pieces from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. My collection reflects the brilliance and refinement of this artistically rich era.
In addition, I will showcase works by other leading names such as Amphora Austria, Marius-Ernest Sabino, Émile Gallé, Daum Nancy, Friedrich Adler, Josef Maria Olbrich, and many more. Their masterpieces highlight the diversity of European design from the early twentieth century. The Art and Antiques Fair also features lectures by art historians and experts, offering visitors not only the chance to view exceptional collections but also to deepen their knowledge. Whether you are a passionate collector or simply wish to experience the rich history and beauty of Doornburgh, the autumn edition promises to be a truly special occasion.
