Description:

Gabriël Argy-Rousseau (Meslay-le-Vidame 1885-1953) was a master in the technique of pâte de verre (glass paste). His refined pâte de verre objects are sought after worldwide. Each pâte de verre object is unique in color because of the production procede.

This bowl is executed in the motif “lichen” and was produced in the year 1919 by Gabriël Argy-Roussau. The bowl is decorated all around with lichens in purple glass paste with in the cuppa inclusions of green, purple and brown glass powders.

The bowl is signed with “G. Argy-Rousseau” on the lower part of the bowl

Diameter: 110mm / 4.33″

Condition: Excellent condition, heat check on the inside of the top rim
