Description:

This large multicolored vase was made by Le Verre Français aka Charles Schneider in the decor “Prunes”. The stylistic decoration of fruits and leaves is a representation of the fruit plum, which is also the French word for Prunes. The decoration is obtained by etching the outer layer by the use of of an acid etching technique, revealing the red underlayer and decoration. The top is decorated with symmetrical fields and the base of the vase has some green glass inclusions. The vase is signed with “Le Verre Français”.

The Art Deco decor of Prunes was created by the glass master Charles Schneider in the period 1919 to 1922.
