Describtion:This Phänomen Genre 1/158 is an excellent example of the finest quality of the glass objects produced by Johann Loetz Witwe during the turn of the century. The shape of this vase together with the type of Phänomen Genre is a true treat for the eye. The vase is blown in the ground color russian green and has a very attractive pattern in iridescence applied to the glass. The Phänomen Genre 1/158 can be desribed a silver-yellow ‘dotted-line’ threading and two broad silver-yellow bands, veined and irregularly pulled. The paper pattern of this vase is unfortunately lost, but it’s to be dated around 1901. The identical shape but in a different Phänomen Genre is included in the Barlach Heuer Collection what has been exhibited in Musée du verre de Conches, France and Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf, Germany.
