This imposing glass bowl was made by Johann Loetz Witwe in the Rusticana decor and has a pewter mount in Art Nouveau style.
The decor Rusticana is a common decor in the production of Johann Loetz Witwe. In most cases, this decor is executed in the ground color green (Crete), but there are also color variations such as: Bronze, Candia, Orange, Rosa and even a Tricolor variant (PG299). The Lötz Rusticana decor is characteristic in the style of tree bark with knot accents.
The pewter floral Art Nouveau mount was applied by the Van Hauten company in Bonn (Germany). The pewter frame is marked with the decor number 1631.
