The Titania Genre by Johann Loetz Witwe is one of the most spectacular and most coveted type of glass. Titania was introduced in 1905 and is executed in several color combinations. The Titania Genre version of this vase is number 2543 in color combination dark blue with green. The glass structure of Titania creates a depth in the glass, which is enhanced by the gradient of different colors and the transparent top glass layer.
This large vase with a height of 33.5cm has an elegant decoration in silver overlay of a floral pattern in Art Nouveau design. The silver is marked at the base with “STERLING” what indicates that the silver overlay is applied by a silver company based in the United States of America.
